We discovered a lot of interest in choreographic and performing opportunities after a remounting of PLASMA recently (a piece originally made with in.motion in 2016 and part of the Dancin’ Oxford dance festival). So we decided to start a new initiative as part of our in.motion programme, with a focus on choreographic work.

We are calling this new initiative in.creation.

Dancers, who regularly attend our advanced in.motion classes, can sign up to join this choreographic lab. It will take place once a week for 2-3 hours. In it we will work on different types of choreographic approaches, and create pieces for performance. We hope to take the group to festivals, showcases and other performance opportunities.

You’ll be able to sign up termly, for a small charge to cover venue hire and expenses. Each term, a different choreographer will be leading the sessions, so you’ll get to experience a variety of approaches. You could even lead a term yourself if there is a particular idea that you would like to work on with the dancers.

We hope to make this group a semi-professional performing company alongside Justice in Motion (physical theatre company).

Come join us, and get dancing! >>> for more information get in touch with us on in.motion@justiceinmotion.co.uk
